New Visa Fee Alert for Indian Applicants in 2026

The U.S. has announced major visa fee changes under the newly signed Bill (July 4, 2025), introducing additional charges for Indian non-immigrant visa applicants starting January 1, 2026.

This update impacts students, tourists, and job seekers
Indian applicants are advised to apply before Dec 31, 2025 to avoid higher visa costs.
Key Changes For Indian Applicants
๐Ÿ”ทFrom Jan 1, 2026, a new $250 “Visa Integrity Fee” will apply to most U.S. non-immigrant visas (B1/B2, F1/M1, H-1B, L-1, J1)
 ๐Ÿ”ทAdditional charges like $24 I-94 fee and ESTA/EVUS updates may also apply
 Total visa cost expected to increase from approx. โ‚น16,000 to โ‚น40,000+
Effective Date:
The increased fees will apply to all applications submitted on or after January 1, 2026.
 Those applying before December 31, 2025 will only pay the current base fee of $185.
What Aspirants Should Do:
Apply early to avoid the new charges
 Ensure strict compliance with visa terms to reclaim the refundable fee
 Budget accordingly for future applications
